A unique place for unique children

The Cottage is our newest nursery, tucked away within a charming Victorian building that has been carefully restored to create a welcoming, home-from-home environment.

While retaining its traditional character, the space has been carefully designed to reflect modern principles, offering a stimulating and nurturing setting where children can feel safe, settled, and inspired to learn.

THE INDOOR SPACES

The main nursery building is home to four beautiful classrooms, with our baby rooms thoughtfully located on the lower floor and toddler rooms on the upper level.

Each space is filled with bespoke, natural resources and toys, carefully chosen to encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration. We also have a wonderful preschool cabin situated at the rear of our wraparound garden. This unique space offers seamless access to the outdoors, inspiring endless opportunities for exploration and learning, while also providing a calm setting for focused school-readiness activities and much more.

THE OUTDOOR SPACES

The Cottage garden is simply beautiful, with landscaped and defined areas filled with trees and natural resources.

Children have continuous access to climbing frames, tricycles, sandpits, and a firm favourite — the mud kitchen — encouraging physical play, imagination, and confidence outdoors. They also love exploring our versatile, expansive planters. During the warmer months, these become spaces for planting vegetables and flowers, while in the colder months they transform into construction and investigation areas, offering rich opportunities for exploration and creative play all year round.

A LITTLE EXTRA

Deborah Jayne’s School of Dance joins us to deliver fun and engaging sessions that support children’s development through music and movement.

We also welcome Playball each week, offering energetic, sports-based sessions that encourage physical development, coordination, teamwork, and peer interaction — and, above all, are filled with buckets of fun for the children.
